Our story began twelve years ago in the West Texas ranching community of Dickens Texas. That is where Matt Humphreys & his wife, Drew, founded Outlaw Water Jet & Design. They started with a notion that the bit & spur world deserved parts made with precision & pride. Utilizing at first water jet &, later on, laser cutting technology, Matt & Drew built a name for quality that makers across the industry had came to count on. Over twelve long years of long days, hard lessons, & loyal customers, they turned their small West Texas shop into the leading supplier of premium water jet & laser cut bit & spur parts.
Every great chapter eventually leads to the next. Matt & Drew had poured twelve years of their lives into this company, & they wanted its future to be in hands that would honor what they had built. Those hands would belong to Ryan & Sylvia Looper.
Ryan & Sylvia are no strangers to hard work and sacrifice. From years past working from horseback in their cattle feeding / yearling operation, to their current cow / calf operation, all while raising their children in a lifestyle they cherish. For them, it's not a lifestyle that they use to market, it's simply how they live. That way of life is also what has shaped Ryan as a craftsman. A bit & spur maker for close to twenty years, building gear meant to be used by the people who depend on it.
